Dear Members/Non-members of the Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta (MMA), MMA is proud to annouce the classifieds section !!! One of our goals this year is to provide more value based content to members of our community. The classified section is a step forward in this direction. Our intent is to provide a communication channel for members from our community in need of a service with those who can provide it either as a complimentary gesture or at an associated cost. Please note though that posting a 'Need Service' classified will be a no cost service (FREE) available to registered MMA 2008 Members. Following are some guidelines we have set to streamline the process and make it easy and convenient for members to seek service/help within the community.
NO, this is a FREE service available to registered members of MMA for 2008. Members can post 'Need Service' classifieds at no charge. Non-registered members however will have to pay a nominal fee of $10 per classified. A Business or For Profit entity wanting to market its services through classifieds to MMA and its members will however have to pay a fee of $15 per ad for registered members and $25 for non-registered members. Fee Structure: i. Need Service: Registered 2008 MMA Members - FREE Non-registered MMA Members - $10 per classified ii. Provide Service: Registered 2008 MMA Members - $15 per classified Non-registered MMA Members - $25 per classified A 'Need Service' classified is one where you seek a service and are looking for individuals within the community who may offer you the service either complimentary or at a cost. Examples of such classifieds would be 'Need a nanny', 'Need a Book/Material' etc 'Provide Service' classifieds will normally be used by individuals or business entities wanting to market their services to MMA and its members. An example of such a service will be 'Nanny available', 'Cook available' etc. MMA committee can help identify and at the same time will be the sole decision makers in identifying the bucket to which a classified will belong to. Classifieds can be posted by sending your classified to mmaclassifieds@gmail.com. Once your classified is received and approved, it will be posted on the MMA website. A typical turaround time from when an ad is sent to when it will be posted on the website will range from 3-5 days. A MMA committee member will get in touch with you in case we need more clarification on the ad to be posted or if we need to collect any fees associated with the classified. A typical turnaround time once the ad has been processed and approved will take in between 3-5 days. We will try our best to get the classified posted as soon as we can, however we would need help and certain understanding from our members in realizing that this is a volunteer service and there might be unforeseen circumstances or situations wherein your ad might not get posted in the stipulated window. Once the ad is posted, the member will receive a confirmation email with a link to the page listing the classified. You may post a classified at any time, there is no restriction on when an ad can be posted. Once posted however the ad will be viewable on our website for a period of 30 days. Beyond 30 days the ad will be recycled and removed from the website. If you need to renew your classified at the end of the 30 day period, please send a new request to mmaclassifieds@gmail.com for extending your existing ad. If there was a cost associated with your classified, then pending dues need to be paid before the ad can be extended. As committee members change hands at the begining of every calendar year, all ads will be recycled in Dec'08 irrespective of when they were posted. A classified ad can contain only text no more than 50 words, NO images or files can be attached to an ad. Its mandatory that each classified includes either an email id or a call back number, where the individual can be contacted at. Following information must be included in your email Subject: 'Your subject for the classified' Contact Name: First & Last Name Email Id: sample@sample.com Contact #: 'Suitable number where you can be reached' Content: 'Ad content not more than 50 words' The MMA committee reserves the right to filter any ads whose content are discriminatory or abusive. Future ads from such individuals may be blocked. Ads will be ordered sequentially based on the date they were posted. Newest ads will show before existing ads, this will ensure that new ads will stay on top. |
