Suntrust Scheme - 'My Cause'

Dear Members/Non-members of the Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta (MMA), We have a unique scheme for you. The scheme is called: Sun Trust Bank - My Cause. How does the scheme work ? When you open a checking account with the Sun Trust Bank for $150 or more, the bank will donate $100 to the Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta. We have outlined the following simple steps for this : 1. The MMA member/non-member calls Mr. Kiran Patel at the Sun Trust Bank (678-482-6580, option 4) If Mr. Kiran Patel is not available, the member should contact Debbie, Gordon, Mahad Mohammad, and get the checking account opened. The member/non-member identifies himself/herself that the family represents the Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta, and that he/she designates Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta to get $100.00. 2. The deadline for opening the account is June 30th, 2008. However, please allow yourself enough time for the paper work, and it is strongly suggested that the accounts be opened by June 14th. The Member then informs Mrs. Pradnya Kale that the account is opened, and provides full contact information (name, address, phone number and E-mail address of the person in whose name account has been opened). 4. After the MMA member/non-member opens a checking account with Sun Trust, they will have 2 choices : 4.1. Designate the whole amount of $100 to be donated to the MMA. 4.2. If the family prefers, MMA will send the family a check for $50, in lieu of the $50 which the family was entitled to receive in the form of a VISA card from Sun Trust Bank. This amount will be sent to them through an on line banking check from Wachovia Bank. In such a case, you will need to notify Mrs. Pradnya Kale that you are opting for receiving $50 from MMA. 5. Mrs. Pradnya Kale will confirm with Mr. Kiran Patel that the account has been opened by this family. 6. If you chose the option that $50 amount be sent to you, after Sun Trust sends us $100 for that account, please note that this may take several weeks after the June 30th, 2008 deadline. 7. Please remember that the $100 charity to the MMA can be given by opening only one account per address (if your children are staying at a different address, they can also open an account and designate the $100 to go to the MMA). 8. After opening the account with Sun Trust Bank, please follow the following procedure : 8.1. You will be sent an ATM by Sun Trust Bank 8.2. Use the ATM card as a credit card 8.3. Go to the web site www.suntrust.com/mycause 8.4. Click on 'Charity Search' 8.5. Enter 'Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta' under 'Keyword(s)/Charity Name' : Suwanee, GA 30024. 8.6. Leave 'Category' blank 8.7. Enter Tax ID of the MMA : 58-2018695, click on 'Submit' 8.8. You will see Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta, Suwanee, GA 30024 8.9. Click on Maharashtra Mandal-Atlanta 8.10. You will see MMA contact information, and name of Dr. Atul Laddu, Treasurer 8.11. On the bottom, click on 'Donate now' 8.12. You will now see a form 'Make a $100 donation - Redemption Form' 8.13. Fill in your information, including account number. Click on 'Provide my full contact information to charity' 8.14. Click 'Submit' |
